invite you to celebrate their wedding day
How he asked
Some proposals come with fireworks and a string quartet. Ours came with saddle leather, late-afternoon light, and two horses who had no idea they were about to witness the best moment of our lives.
On October 4, 2026, Luke rode up through the pasture like it was any other ride. Then he swung down, dropped to one knee right there in the dirt between the horses, and pulled out a ring. No stage, no script, no audience except a palomino, a dark bay, and a very surprised Kristi.
She said yes before he could even get the whole question out. The horses approved too, which, if you know us, is the only review that really mattered.
It was rustic, heartfelt, and completely us. And now we get to do the celebrating with all of you.
“He didn’t need a fancy plan. Just a pasture, two horses, and the girl he couldn’t imagine life without.” October 4, 2026

Counting down to forever
Written on our hearts
The words we are building our marriage on, and the promises we will carry into every season ahead.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Genesis 2:24
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Colossians 3:14
We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19
The day she said yes
